Birch Wedding Arch

When I think of birch branches being used in a wedding arch or altar, the first thing that comes to mind are birch poles. However, customer Mindy C. used our Natural Birch Branches to construct a gorgeous wedding arch.

The birch branches provide a fantastic base on which to secure fresh flowers. Something I love about the design is how the flowers are spare towards the bottom and gradually concentrate at the top, like bubble collecting on the surface of a glass of champagne.

Thanks so much to Mindy C. for sending the pictures! The pictures were taken by The Storykeeper (http://www.storykeeper.com)

WOW. That is absolutely gorgeous!

Do you know how many birch stems this would take? Approx?

Hi Brittney - That took around 12 bundles of the Natural Birch, which has about 25 stems per bundle. - Justin

Hi! I absolutely love this arch, and plan on re-creating it for my wedding! Could you help me understand how this arch was constructed? Also, what type and how many flowers did you guys use? I am so glad I came across this idea!

Hi Amanda - Congratulations on the wedding! We didn't create the arch (the pictures were sent in by a customer). What I'd do is start off with a really basic, already made arch, and then start dressing it up with the branches and cable ties. I think the flowers used were peonies, but you can get a similar effect with roses. Hope this helps! - Justin

Justin-when do you suggest purchasing branches for a May wedding? This is beautiful and we would love to make it as well. Thanks!

Hi there - I'd purchase a bundle or two sooner rather than later to do a mock-up to figure out exactly how you are going to execute the design and the quantities you need. As for the main order, you can purchase them any time - there's no need to wait to the last minute. That said, there's no need to order them months in advance. Hope this helps!
